This week the Counties Manukau Road Crime Unit carried out two warrants on a local mechanic’s premises. Intelligence had been gathered relating to the business in question and it has recently become clear that it was an illegal car ringing operating. At approximately 12:05am this morning a Manurewa Police patrol was alerted to a vehicle performing a sustained loss of traction manoeuvre. After attempting to pull the car over the car fled resulting in a pursuit. The fleeing car came to a stop a short time later.
