Bike Auckland Presents Bike Rave, A Glowtastic Night Ride Around the City
Bike Rave Auckland is returning on Friday, October 26 – a glowtastic night ride around the city brought to you by Bike Auckland, the non profit organisation working for a better city for people on bikes.Bedazzle your bike, dress in your wildest outfit, blast some party tunes and be ready for sensory overload!
Riders will gather for a pre-party at Silo Park from 6:30pm and at sundown will set off on Auckland’s first ever mass ride around the city cycle loop, a 7km inner city trail mostly on protected cycleways. The all-ages ride will take in the fabulous pink path – Te Ara i Whiti, travel down the Grafton Gully Cycleway, along the waterfront and will end with a celebration back in Silo Park.
Bike Rave Auckland launched in 2015, inspired by roaming bike parties around the world and participants are invited to bust out the glow sticks and LEDs, strap some speakers to bikes, and experience the energy of nocturnal Auckland at its best.
Bike Rave Auckland is taking place during Biketober, the annual community bike festival held all October long, presented by Bike Auckland. Biketober is an annual celebration of community on wheels. Aucklanders are invited to dream up fun bike activities highlight the way bikes enliven, empower, and enlighten communities. With warmer weather, more daylight and holidays galore, October is the perfect month to jump on your bike!
