Arj Barker Free Range Comic!

Mary Tobin Presents….NZ Tour 2018

Thursday 17 May 2018 at The Opera House in Wellington

Friday 18th May and Saturday 19 May 2018 at SKYCITY Theatre in Auckland
Starting with the finest free-range topics, nurturing them until they’re brimming with wholesome hilarity, and ready for the tellin’, Arj Barker (aka Dave from Flight of The Conchords) returns to the NZ International Comedy Festival, with his hysterical chemical compound of a show, ORGANIC playing 17 May 2018 at The Opera House in Wellington, and 18 & 19 May 2018 at SKYCITY Theatre in Auckland.

When he’s not on stage, Arj is on screen with numerous appearances on late night talk shows including David Letterman and Conan O’Brian, his own specials, and is well known for his supporting actor role alongside Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement in the hit HBO series Flight of the Conchords.

From an accurate depiction of just why Uber has revolutionised everyday travel, to the dark thoughts that arise from living with your other half, to the undisputable failings of fad diets, Arj takes the typical out of the everyday and turns it into the extraordinary on stage, with his trademark delivery, charm and satire drenched disposition.

His cruelty-free jokes are always tested on animals, and 100% goat-approved by the time you hear them. That’s the kind of quality you can trust in a comedy show. *

Born and raised in California, Arj has a worldwide following that has seen him perform in Holland, Sweden, Norway, USA, Canada, England, Scotland, Ireland, South Africa, Singapore, Malaysia and Australia.

Organic is both insightful and pointed, like a mind-reading thumb tack (if there was one of those), these shows are not to be missed.

“On-point delivery and irresistible charm, it’s clear to see why he continues to sell out.”
