Songs like Lost Weekend, Perfect Skin, Are You Ready To Be Heartbroken, Forest Fire, Jennifer She Said, No Blue Skies and Like Lovers Do – have helped Cole gain five Top 20 UK albums, appearances on the likes of ‘Later With Jools Holland’ and a strong connection with loyal fans worldwide.

Says Lloyd Cole: “These box sets are a lot of work, much of which can only be done by me. I must revisit and rediscover material. I am necessarily in retrospective mode. I have decided to embrace it.

“For this tour all of my set lists comprise material from 1983 – 1996 only. In New Zealand I’ll be joined on guitar by my son Will, and I look forward to introducing him to some of my favourite parts of the country.

“Once the world has seen this retrospective show I will resume my work as a contemporary artist.”
