Tamaki Redevelopment Company: New Appt CEO

The Board of the Tāmaki Redevelopment Company (TRC) wishes to advise that John Holyoake has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer effective April 14, 2015.

“The company and the regeneration programme are at an exciting stage of development and the Board is now in a position to make a permanent appointment to the CEO role,” says Brian Donnelly, Chairman of the Board for TRC.

“John brings a wealth of invaluable experience to the role having delivered large scale projects with a mixture of community and housing focus in both public and private sector settings”.

John’s most recent role was Transition Director for the establishment and mobilisation of operations at the Auckland South PPP Corrections Facility at Wiri.

He has previously worked in senior operational roles at Housing New Zealand for nearly 20 years where he managed large state housing portfolios and was responsible for a number of national community based housing programmes and funding initiatives.

John has a strong background in the public service, and has previously worked in the private sector in New Zealand and the UK.

John will be joining TRC with the foundations for accelerated pace established under the leadership of Peter Fa’afiu, Acting CEO who led the TRC team, and all stakeholders through a transition period.

John joins a very capable team at TRC who have already established good working relationships with the community and other key stakeholders.

He will have an operational and delivery focus in working with the community, agencies and private sector participants.
