Three people were killed yesterday in a crash on State Highway 16 near Helensville.

They were Moashon HARRISON (11yrs), Mananui HARRISON (2yrs) and Cheyenne HEMANA (17yrs), all from Parakai, Auckland.

The crash involved two vehicles and occurred near the intersection of SH16 and James Mackie Road south of Helensville.

The casualty list is as follows:

Vehicle 1. –
Single occupant – male – status 2 (serious injury) en route to hospital

Vehicle 2 –
Female driver – died at scene

11 yr old male front seat passenger – died at scene.

Baby – rear carseat – died at scene

6 yr old female – rear seat status 2 (serious injury) en-route to hospital

SH 16 was blocked and traffic diversions were in place at Helensville Township and Kiwitahi Road

The Police Serious Crash unit is investigating.
