More free advice for Mt Roskill gardeners

The final installment of the ever-popular Daltons School of Gardening summer series will take place in Mt Roskill in April.

The free outdoor workshops, hosted by award winning landscape designer and media personality Xanthe White, have been a popular feature around the Auckland area but are coming to a close. The last class of the series will be held from 2-4pm, Saturday the 13th of April 2013 and will focus on growing bulbs for spring.

Xanthe and the Daltons experts will host the workshop outside Bunnings Warehouse, Mt Roskill on Carr Road. During the class they will offer a range of tips and techniques on preparing and planting bulbs now to get the best blooms come springtime and there will be a practical component on planting bulbs and everyone will get to take their bulbs home. It’s a great opportunity for the young and old to get their hands dirty! Bulbs are extremely versatile and can be planted in containers or gardens. They are the perfect way to add colour and vitality to any garden. Daltons experts will also hold a Q and A session, and there will be prizes for good questions.

The free Daltons School of Gardening Workshops are suitable for gardeners of all levels and ages. They are a wonderful opportunity for like-minded enthusiasts to come together, learn the art of gardening, and share experiences with others. The classes are open for anyone to join – all you need to bring is yourself.
