A one-year-old boy died tonight in Kaipara Flats after being hit by a car in the driveway of a residential address in Woodcocks Road.

The incident happened about 5.45 pm.

Police and ambulance were called.

Police are examining the scene and victim support staff have been called.

At about 6:20pm this evening a fifteen month old male toddler was seriously injured when struck by a vehicle parking in the driveway of a property in Nukuhau, Taupo.

The child was flown to Waikato Hospital.
