Waihi man gets home detention for importing stun guns disguised as lipstick

Chinese tourism increases by 17.6 per cent

The increase in arrivals from Japan, up 3.3 per cent in November, indicates on-going recovery in the market. Seasonal weather warning: heavy rain and strong winds forecast for Christmas Eve

A deep low, formerly Tropical Cyclone Evan, lies about 1000 km northeast of North Cape and is moving slowly south. Over the weekend it is expected to swing southwest towards the North Island, passing not too far away from North Cape on Christmas Eve.
