Auckland Council to start search for new chief executive next month
News from Auckland Council
The Auckland Council is to begin recruiting for a new chief executive early next year, to ensure a replacement is in place when the current chief executive departs.
Doug McKay has indicated he will not seek reappointment when his term expires on 31 December 2013.
The appointment of a new chief executive is the responsibility of council’s Governing Body, which last week approved a process for recruiting McKay’s successor.
