Homicide inquiry begins after 12-day disappearance of Torbay woman

North Shore Police confirm that their enquiries into the whereabouts of a missing Torbay woman have been upgraded to a homicide investigation.
Bin “Cissy” Chen was reported missing by her partner on Monday 5 November. Police Search and Rescue did an extensive search of the Long Bay reserve. Deodar and Eagle provided further assistance with a coastal and air search. There have been no public sightings of Cissy.
Acting Detective Senior Sergeant Megan Goldie of the North Shore CIB who is leading the investigation says a forensic examination has commenced at an address in Torbay and a man is assisting police with this investigation.
“If anyone has information on the whereabouts of Bin Cissy Chen we urge them to call Police on Operation WAIAU – 08000 CISSY,” [08000 24779] she said.
