He went outside and didn’t return; concern for safety of Birkdale resident

News from North Shore Police
There are increasing fears for the safety of a Birkdale resident, who hasn’t been seen since early yesterday afternoon.

Arthur Eddie Cooper, age 62, was last seen by family members at his home address in Birkdale at 1.30pm. He went outside to his vehicle to retrieve some items and did not return. The disappearance is out of character.

His family and Police are concerned for his safety and well being. Police state that there is no evidence at this stage of foul play. A ground search of the surrounding area has been carried by Police Search and Rescue staff. Other enquiries are continuing. An aerial search has been carried out over the past two days.

Mr. Cooper is a European male aged 62 years. He’s 178 cms (5’10″) tall, thin build. He was wearing a Navy blue button up collared shirt with short sleeves, blue jeans, a faded blue sun hat, sneakers and possibly a black sweatshirt.
