Waves and flooding on Tamaki Drive

The Police Northern Communications Centre is starting to get calls in relation to flooding and waves breaking over parts of Tamaki Drive.
Council have been advised to consider road closures.
Motorists are advised to avoid the stretch from Mechanics Bay to Ngapipi Rd while the situation is being assessed.
There have also been reports of boats breaking loose from their moorings and being blown onto rocks at Okahu Bay.
