Aggravated robbery in Henderson

A female shop assistant whose hands were forcibly tied behind her back during an aggravated robbery in Henderson yesterday is slowly recovering from her ordeal.
Police say that at about 9.30am on Monday 3 September 2012 an armed man has entered a store in Lincoln Road where he was confronted by a lone female who was working behind the counter. The man who was carrying a black pistol demanded cash.
After proceeding to tie the female victim’s hands behind her back the offender has then fled in the direction of Lincoln Road with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Police have issued a description of the offending male.
• Maori or Polynesian
• Height about 178 cm tall
• Medium build
• Clothing – orange reflective raincoat
• Yellow reflective pants – Black beanie,
• black and white shoes, light coloured gloves
