I agree with the 2 previous comments. No doubt the data from Seek is correct but the message could be misinterpreted. We are not talking about the national average salary but only about the national average salary of jobs advertised on Seek.
We can only assume there is a correlation between the salary increase of Seek advertised jobs and the national average salary of every kiwi. From memory the average/median national salary is around $45k.
