Searchers with police dog find three trampers missing overnight in Waitakeres

At about 9pm last night, three trampers were reported missing in the Waitakere Ranges, west of Auckland.

They had become separated from the main group of eleven and failed to return to their vehicles on Anawhata Road.

Search and Rescue teams co-ordinated by the Police were deployed this morning.

The trampers were located at about 7am by a Police Search and Rescue Dog, “Quake” and other members of the Search and Rescue Team.

The three missing trampers now located are well.
